(An Independent, College Preparatory, Coeducational Day School for Students in Grades K-12)

To tie in with our theme of dignity this year, a series of workshops for teachers and upper and middle school students were conducted in November. Under the direction of Margaret Jones, Wooster School Nurse, Nancy Haas of Haas Consulting Services in Newtown was engaged to provide sexual harassment awareness training. The objective of the workshops was to furnish both teachers and students with a better understanding of sexual harassment and of their rights as individuals within an educational environment.

Teachers and students were taught how to recognize sexual harassment, stop it when it occurs, and report incidents to the appropriate authority. The focus of the sessions was on prevention and the important role that awareness plays in preventing potential acts of harassment.
